Choose the front of your driver licence and select Driver licence under Document. Add the back when the property manager asks for it. 2. Keep Front and back on one sheet for one A4 page. Switch it off if the request is for a page per side. 3. Choose Real size for a card-sized printed copy, or the layout requested by the recipient. Check every edge in the preview. 4. Select PDF, download and reopen it. Check names, dates and any requested numbers before sending through the property manager's agreed channel. For a passport, choose Passport and keep the full identity page visible. Do not attach both documents merely because the tool offers both presets. ## Why a tenancy check is the job here New Zealand's Privacy Commissioner identifies passports and driver licences as ways to check a rental applicant's identity. Its rental guidance also says ID images supplied online or by email should be securely disposed of after verification. Ask how your attachment will be handled. This page prepares a tenancy attachment. It does not issue a digital driver licence, certify a copy or perform an identity check. ## Finish the rental copy If the property manager accepts a purpose label, [watermark the tenancy copy](https://dokus.app/en-nz/watermark-passport-driver-licence/) with the agency, property and date. Only the first ten PDF pages are used; prepare the required page range before opening a longer file. HEIC availability depends on your browser. Processing stays on your device, with no document upload or account, and camera metadata is removed from the copy. The exported PDF contains images of its pages. Selectable text, digital signatures and interactive fields are not preserved. Keep the complete original separately and inspect the saved copy before sending. ## Common questions ### Can both driver licence sides go on one A4 page for a rental application? Yes. Add the back and keep Front and back on one sheet. Follow the property manager's request if it specifies separate pages. ### Is a passport always required as well as a driver licence? No. Ask which identity document the tenancy check needs before preparing attachments. The presets are alternatives, not a required bundle. ### Will this certify my licence copy?
