# Dokus Website Subscription Privacy Policy

**Version 1, effective October 30, 2026**

This policy explains the data involved when you subscribe on dokus.app. The site's tools run in
your browser: the documents you open in them are not sent to us. The subscription itself is
governed by the [Subscription Terms](/tools/terms-of-use/).

## What we receive

Stripe processes the payment under its own privacy policy. We receive from Stripe the details you
give when you subscribe, such as your name, email address and country, and your payment history,
never your full card details.

The site keeps a cookie in your browser that links it to the subscription, and counts the free
downloads already used in your browser too.

## How we use it

To charge, to give access, to handle cancellations and refunds, and to meet legal obligations. We
may use your email address to contact you about the subscription and about Dokus, news included,
and you can leave that list at any time. We also use this data, without identifying you, to
understand how the offer is used.

## How long we keep it

While you are a customer or until you ask to leave the list and, after that, for as long as the
law requires for payment records.

## Your rights

To access, correct or delete your data, write to support@dokus.app. You may also contact the data
protection authority of your country.
