Cayman temporary work permit: T1 document checklist
Prepare a Cayman temporary work permit from WORC’s T1 form and its attached checklist, including the employee and employer sections. The checklist distinguishes passport copies, certified qualifications and an original signed and sealed police certificate; one converted PDF cannot replace all three.
Prepare the official request
- Get the official T1 form and confirm WORC’s current checklist for the occupation and application route.
- Complete the employee and employer sections and obtain the signatures required from each person.
- Prepare the employer’s covering letter, passport bio-data page and the relevant occupation evidence.
- Check the separate health, accommodation and dependant supplements that apply.
- Assemble the original police certificate and certified records as specified, then keep the filing and payment confirmation.
Keep the right evidence
The hosted form is the July 2025 version. Its checklist is a starting document, not a reason to disregard later WORC instructions. It explicitly allows additional evidence to be requested. Confirm current filing rules and charges before submitting.
Separate three folders or clearly named groups: originals to present, certified copies to submit and personal reference scans. For a dependant, check that person’s own evidence rather than assuming the employee’s passport and certificate cover everyone.
If a recipient accepts a personal working copy, you can reduce an accepted reference scan. The result is an image-based PDF or JPG. It does not preserve selectable PDF text, interactive fields or an original digital signature. Keep this output separate from any original, certified copy or unchanged official file required for submission.
For a local record, see RCIPS police clearance. For civil evidence, see Cayman birth certificates.
Questions
Does the employee complete the whole T1 alone?
The form separates employee and employer information and signatures. Follow each section’s instructions.
Can a passport scan replace the original police certificate?
No. The checklist assigns different evidence requirements to different items, including an original signed and sealed police certificate.
Does T1 list every possible document?
The checklist states that further information may be requested. Check current WORC instructions for your occupation and circumstances.
