Cayman police clearance: apply and receive the record
Apply and pay for a Cayman Police Clearance Certificate through the official e-government route linked by RCIPS. Its current FAQ describes email, direct delivery to a listed government entity or domestic registered mail and says in-person collection is no longer available.
Prepare the official request
- Confirm that a Cayman Police Clearance Certificate is the record requested.
- Check residence eligibility: RCIPS states at least three months on a work permit or six months as a visitor. Its FAQ describes a possible Immigration-permission exception for shorter residence; confirm your case with the authority.
- Follow the official e-government application link and complete the required identity information.
- Choose the purpose and delivery option available in the application and pay the requested fee.
- Keep the reference and receipt, then verify the certificate received through the selected route.
Keep the right evidence
The FAQ has an older introductory sentence about collecting certificates at the Business Centre. Its specific current delivery answer says there is no longer an in-person pickup option. Follow that answer and the live application instead of planning a collection based on the introduction.
Check the receiving institution’s requirement and preserve the delivered electronic file or official paper certificate. RCIPS also says a police clearance is not required merely to renew a Cayman passport; do not order an extra certificate for that purpose without checking the actual request.
If a recipient accepts a personal working copy, you can hide agreed unnecessary fields in a separate reference copy. Check repeated details, codes and every page. The exported image-based file does not preserve selectable PDF text or an original digital signature. Keep this output separate from any original, certified copy or unchanged official file required for submission.
For the employment filing, see WORC T1 supporting documents. For travel identity, see Cayman passport renewal.
Questions
Can I collect my PCC in person?
The specific current RCIPS FAQ answer says in-person pickup is no longer available. Use the delivery route offered in the application.
Is a PCC automatically needed for passport renewal?
RCIPS says it is not required for renewal of a Cayman Islands passport. Confirm any separate requirement with the Passport Office.
Should I alter the downloaded certificate?
Keep the issued version unchanged when official verification or direct delivery is required. A personal reference copy is a separate file.
