BVI work permit renewal: LMS document checklist

For a BVI work permit renewal on LMS, include the existing Immigration Entry Permit Form as required by the 17 August 2026 bulletin. Keep it separate from the passport bio-data page, passport Immigration Stamp and recent digital passport-sized photograph.

Prepare the official request

  1. Open the current LMS renewal application and confirm the employee and existing permit details.
  2. Locate the existing Immigration Entry Permit Form; do not substitute the passport stamp for this form.
  3. Prepare a recent digital passport-sized photograph.
  4. Make a clear copy of the passport bio-data page and a separate copy of the Immigration Stamp.
  5. Complete the live checklist, upload each item to its correct field and save the submission reference.

Keep the right evidence

The August bulletin adds a concrete renewal requirement. It does not replace every other LMS instruction or establish a universal file-size ceiling. Read each active field for accepted format and maximum size before preparing a copy.

Use clear, complete scans. If the passport or status evidence has changed, resolve the details with the employer and the relevant department rather than editing an old scan to match. A renewal application reference is evidence of submission; follow the authority’s separate instructions about existing or renewed permission.

If a recipient accepts a personal working copy, you can reduce an accepted reference scan. The result is an image-based PDF or JPG. It does not preserve selectable PDF text, interactive fields or an original digital signature. Keep this output separate from any original, certified copy or unchanged official file required for submission.

Questions

Are the Entry Permit Form and passport stamp interchangeable?

No. The August 2026 bulletin lists the existing form and the Immigration Stamp as separate uploads.

Does the bulletin set an attachment-size limit?

It does not state a numeric ceiling. Follow the current LMS field instructions.

Does a saved renewal receipt itself issue a new permit?

No. Keep the receipt and follow the department’s status and decision instructions.

My documents used to be all scattered through my gallery, I managed to organize them all. I personally like the watermark feature… I used it a lot while traveling, it makes sharing IDs much safer… it stamps a copy with the name of the company you are sharing with (say, an AirBnb or a car rental).
