Ask the renewal agent whether it accepts a marked reference copy. Add the employer or agent, LMS renewal purpose and date to the passport or Entry Permit Form scan, keeping complete filing evidence separate.

Make the agent’s reference purpose visible

BVI’s LMS renewal checklist includes passport and Entry Permit Form evidence. If the employer or agent accepts a separate marked pre-check copy, label that copy for the specific renewal.

How to watermark the agent’s renewal-reference copy

  1. Confirm the agent, employer and accepted reference-copy format.
  2. Open the passport or Entry Permit Form image. Enter “Reference copy for [agent], [employer] LMS renewal, [date]”.
  3. Adjust Intensity so the label crosses the document while required review details remain readable.
  4. Download, inspect and keep this reference copy separate from the complete official renewal attachments.

Keep the purpose tied to the image

Use the real recipient and renewal date rather than a generic “private”. The mark can explain the intended use when the file is separated from its email. It does not stop copying, conceal the fields or authenticate the permit.

This is an optional pre-check label, not a BVI government watermark instruction. Follow the live LMS requirements for the actual submission. Do not assume an employer’s reference-copy preference applies to official filing evidence.

When the Department needs complete stamps or endorsements, retain them in the filing copy. A purpose label is not a substitute for those details.

Check the saved copy

Choose JPG, PNG, supported HEIC or PDF up to 25 MB. Only the first ten pages of an input PDF are processed. Download JPG or an image-based PDF; selectable text, fillable fields and digital signatures are not preserved. Keep any original signed or fillable file.

The document is processed in your browser without an account or document upload. The downloaded copy removes camera metadata and leaves the source unchanged.

Use Photo to PDF for the layout, Compress for an attachment ceiling, Watermark for an agreed purpose label or Hide details for agreed unnecessary fields. Save between tools and inspect the final downloaded file.

Common questions

Must I watermark BVI LMS attachments?

No such requirement is established here. Use a purpose label only on a separate reference copy the employer or agent agrees to accept.

Can the watermark replace an Immigration Stamp?

No. A label states the intended use. Keep the actual stamp evidence required by the renewal checklist.

Is the source document uploaded to add the mark?

No. Processing stays in your browser without a document upload or account. The source is unchanged and camera metadata is removed from the downloaded copy.

Does a watermark lock the renewal-reference PDF?

No. It identifies the intended agent or employer and LMS review purpose, while leaving the file readable. It does not encrypt the PDF or replace required Immigration Stamp evidence.
