Ask BHB whether it accepts a purpose-labelled ID reference copy for your personal-information request. Add the recipient, request reference and date to the passport or driver’s-licence image.

Keep an accepted identity copy tied to the request

BHB’s personal-information form names passport or driver’s licence as proof of identity. Ask its Privacy Officer whether a purpose label is acceptable before preparing a reference copy.

How to watermark an agreed BHB identity-reference copy

  1. Confirm the request, recipient and identity evidence with BHB.
  2. Open the accepted passport or driver’s-licence scan. Enter “Copy for BHB Privacy Officer, personal-information request [reference], [date]”.
  3. Adjust Intensity so the label crosses the document without obscuring required information.
  4. Download the agreed format and inspect the actual file before sending it.

A purpose label stays with the image

Replace the example reference and date with your own. Do not put the record details or other sensitive information in the label; the recipient and request reference are usually sufficient to explain the intended use.

A mark does not hide fields or prevent reuse. It is an optional reference-copy choice, not a stated BHB watermark requirement or official endorsement. Use the original verification process when an unaltered image is needed.

This workflow is for personal-information identity evidence. Keep clinical records and any other person’s authority documents separate, using the process BHB directs you to.

Check the saved copy

Choose JPG, PNG, supported HEIC or PDF up to 25 MB. Only the first ten pages of an input PDF are processed. Download JPG or an image-based PDF; selectable text, fillable fields and digital signatures are not preserved. Keep any original signed or fillable file.

The document is processed in your browser without an account or document upload. The downloaded copy removes camera metadata and leaves the source unchanged.

Use Photo to PDF for the layout, Compress for an attachment ceiling, Watermark for an agreed purpose label or Hide details for agreed unnecessary fields. Save between tools and inspect the final downloaded file.

Common questions

Does BHB require a watermark?

No watermark requirement is established here. Confirm with the Privacy Officer that a marked reference copy is accepted.

Will a watermark conceal my identity number?

No. It states the intended purpose and recipient. Cover a field only if the recipient separately agrees it is unnecessary.

Is the source document uploaded to add the mark?

No. Processing stays in your browser without a document upload or account. The source is unchanged and camera metadata is removed from the downloaded copy.

Does the BHB request watermark certify or lock the ID copy?

No. It is visible wording for the accepted request-reference copy. It does not certify the passport or licence, encrypt the PDF or authorise disclosure of records.
