Singapore tenancy ID PDFs and ICA scan-size tools
Choose the recipient’s job: combine requested NRIC sides for tenancy records, make an ICA document attachment smaller, label a rental ID copy or hide unrelated identifiers in a customer-service attachment. Check the saved file and use the service’s required verification process.
- Watermark tenancy IDName the property agency, tenancy and date on the requested copy, keeping required ID details readable.
- ICA scan sizeUse a 1 MB target for the document-upload workflow covered by ICA Technical Help; check your live form.
- Tenancy NRIC PDFPut both NRIC sides on A4 for the property agent’s requested identity records.
- Redact support filesHide identifiers unrelated to your support case while keeping the order or case reference readable.
Match the copy to the transaction
- Residential tenancy: make an NRIC PDF or label the requested copy. The file does not replace original-document and identity checks.
- ICA document attachment: reduce the scan using the live form’s ceiling. The cited Technical Help workflow requires files below 2 MB; a 1 MB target leaves room.
- Customer-service evidence: hide unrelated NRIC details while retaining the case reference and relevant evidence.
Start with the file the recipient requests
| Your task | Tool | Check before sending |
|---|---|---|
| NRIC front and back in one PDF | Photo to PDF | One A4 sheet or a separate page for each side |
| A scan below an upload ceiling | Compress | The live form’s size and file format |
| A copy marked for an organisation | Watermark | That a marked reference copy is accepted |
| A copy without agreed unnecessary details | Hide details | Repeated numbers and codes on both sides |
Document scan, application portrait or Digital IC?
ICA’s technical guide describes document uploads below 2 MB. Its passport and NRIC portrait photographs have a separate specification. Use the compression page for scans, and follow ICA’s portrait instructions for a photograph of your face.
Before sharing an NRIC copy, ask why it is needed and whether a less detailed alternative is accepted. PDPC’s guidance cautions against excessive collection of information on the card. That does not mean every recipient can accept hidden fields: a required identity check may need the complete details.
A scan is a reference copy. It does not become the interactive Digital IC in Singpass or replace an original where the service requires one.
The tools do not certify copies or issue identity credentials. For an in-person transaction, check whether the organisation accepts the interactive Digital IC in Singpass, a physical document or a scanned reference copy.
What happens to the file
Choose JPG, PNG, HEIC or PDF up to 25 MB. HEIC depends on browser support; choosing a photo from the iPhone library can provide JPG. Only the first ten pages of an input PDF are used. The output is JPG or an image-based PDF: selectable text, form fields and digital signatures are not preserved. Keep the original when those features matter.
Processing stays in your browser, with no document upload or account. The downloaded copy removes camera metadata and leaves your chosen source unchanged.
To perform two jobs on the same copy, download the first result and open it in the second tool. Inspect the final result and keep the original protected for the next use.

Common questions
Are all four tools free in Singapore?
Yes. They run in your browser without an account or document upload.
Does the converter default to A4?
Yes. NRIC front and back can share an A4 sheet. Choose the recipient’s requested layout and print at Actual Size when real size matters.
Does making a smaller PDF keep its digital signature?
No. These tools export image-based copies. Use the original signed document when the recipient needs signature verification.
