Open the requested passport or permit scan and save a separate PDF for that document. Include a required reverse in the same file. Confirm the live renewal checklist before uploading.
One supporting document for a permit renewal
The Department of Immigration’s portal FAQ calls for PDF supporting documents, with all sides of a document in one file. Check your renewal’s current checklist before choosing the scan.
Prepare the requested PDF
- Choose the photo of the requested document. Add its reverse only when it belongs to the same document.
- Select Passport for a passport page, or Permit or supporting document for a permit scan. Adjust the crop without cutting off edges or endorsements.
- Choose PDF. For a two-sided document, inspect both pages and their order before downloading.
- Open the saved file and compare it with the original. Use Compress if it exceeds the attachment ceiling shown by the portal.
Keep separate evidence separate
This converter handles one document and its reverse. It does not assemble a whole renewal application from passports, permits, police records and employer papers. Keep each item in its own required upload field.
Letter is the starting paper size. Full-page permit scans are fitted to the sheet without claiming an exact card size. Switch to A4 if requested. A Passport layout uses the standard 125 by 88 mm page; check the actual document before choosing a print scale.
The published FAQ concerns eligible renewals, rather than first applications or lost-permit replacements. Saving a PDF does not renew the permit or change that eligibility.
Check the saved copy
Choose JPG, PNG, supported HEIC or PDF up to 25 MB. Only the first ten pages of an input PDF are processed. Download JPG or an image-based PDF; selectable text, fillable fields and digital signatures are not preserved. Keep any original signed or fillable file.
The document is processed in your browser without an account or document upload. The downloaded copy removes camera metadata and leaves the source unchanged.
Use Photo to PDF for the layout, Compress for an attachment ceiling, Watermark for an agreed purpose label or Hide details for agreed unnecessary fields. Save between tools and inspect the final downloaded file.
Common questions
Can I put a permit’s front and back in one PDF?
Yes. Add its reverse to the same document and inspect both saved pages. Keep unrelated supporting documents separate.
Will this assemble my entire renewal application?
No. It prepares one document and its reverse. Use the portal’s separate evidence fields and retain every required page.
Will the PDF keep digital signatures or fillable fields?
No. Every output PDF page is an image. Selectable text, interactive fields and digital signatures are not preserved; keep the original file when those features matter.
