Open the passport or police-record scan your employer or agent asks to review and save a separate PDF. Keep the complete document and any reverse; retain required certified or original evidence for filing.

Confirm the actual file problem

The checked government pages name passport and police-record evidence, but do not publish a PDF-only field or an upload-size ceiling for this pre-check. Ask the employer or agent for the exact format and limit before changing a readable scan. Use conversion only when they actually require a different format, and compression only when the scan exceeds their stated limit. The initial 1 MB target is an editing choice; it is not a government requirement.

A reference scan before the work-permit filing

TCI’s official work-permit guidance calls for certified evidence and sometimes originals. Use this converter for an agreed employer or agent pre-check. It does not provide that certification.

Prepare the requested PDF

  1. Confirm the document and pages the employer or agent needs for the reference check.
  2. Open the passport page or police-record image. Select Passport for the passport, or Police record or supporting document for a paper scan.
  3. Correct rotation and crop the surrounding table without removing seals, signatures, borders or endorsements. Select PDF.
  4. Download, open and inspect the complete scan. Keep the original or certified filing evidence separately.

One complete document for one review

Keep the passport and police record as separate items. This tool prepares one document and its reverse, not a packet of unrelated application papers. A long police record must remain complete; do not process a PDF over the ten-page input cap.

Letter is the starting sheet size, with A4 available. The standard Passport layout uses a 125 by 88 mm page; the paper-document preset fits the scan to the page. Neither layout establishes a required enlargement.

An image PDF loses digital signatures and interactive fields. If your police record is an original electronically signed PDF, keep that original for filing and use this workflow only when a reference image is appropriate.

Check the saved copy

Choose JPG, PNG, supported HEIC or PDF up to 25 MB. Only the first ten pages of an input PDF are processed. Download JPG or an image-based PDF; selectable text, fillable fields and digital signatures are not preserved. Keep any original signed or fillable file.

The document is processed in your browser without an account or document upload. The downloaded copy removes camera metadata and leaves the source unchanged.

Use Photo to PDF for the layout, Compress for an attachment ceiling, Watermark for an agreed purpose label or Hide details for agreed unnecessary fields. Save between tools and inspect the final downloaded file.

Common questions

Can I use the converted scan as a certified passport copy?

No. Conversion creates an image-based reference copy. Complete the required certification or original-document process separately.

Should I convert an electronically signed police record?

Keep its signed original. Use an image-based reference copy only when appropriate for the agreed pre-check, because conversion does not preserve its digital signature.

Will the PDF keep digital signatures or fillable fields?

No. Every output PDF page is an image. Selectable text, interactive fields and digital signatures are not preserved; keep the original file when those features matter.
