Your rating

Open the passport or police-record reference scan, choose the agent’s requested format and select Maximum size within its attachment ceiling. Inspect seals, dates and the complete document after saving.

Confirm the actual file problem

The checked government pages name passport and police-record evidence, but do not publish a PDF-only field or an upload-size ceiling for this pre-check. Ask the employer or agent for the exact format and limit before changing a readable scan. Use conversion only when they actually require a different format, and compression only when the scan exceeds their stated limit. The initial 1 MB target is an editing choice; it is not a government requirement.

Reduce the reference scan for your permit agent

TCI work-permit guidance requires certified evidence. Compression here is for an agreed reference pre-check, rather than a substitute for the original or certified documents needed for filing.

Reduce the requested attachment

  1. Open the complete reference scan your employer or agent requested.
  2. Choose JPG or PDF as agreed. Start at 1 MB and select an available Maximum size within the stated ceiling.
  3. Inspect the name, photograph, dates, seals and all text needed for the review. Retake an unclear photo before compressing further.
  4. Download and check the actual file size, required sides and complete page count.

Do not trade away the evidence to meet a size

The 1 MB target is a tool default. No universal TCI permit attachment limit is established by the sources here. Ask the recipient for the current transfer instructions.

Remove a desk or empty space from the capture, but retain genuine document edges and every relevant stamp or endorsement. If compression cannot meet the chosen ceiling, the tool shows its smallest result. Ask about another accepted transfer method if the result is unreadable.

A police certificate may carry an electronic signature. Keep the original signed file and do not treat an image-based compressed export as the same verified file.

Check the saved copy

Choose JPG, PNG, supported HEIC or PDF up to 25 MB. Only the first ten pages of an input PDF are processed. Download JPG or an image-based PDF; selectable text, fillable fields and digital signatures are not preserved. Keep any original signed or fillable file.

The document is processed in your browser without an account or document upload. The downloaded copy removes camera metadata and leaves the source unchanged.

Use Photo to PDF for the layout, Compress for an attachment ceiling, Watermark for an agreed purpose label or Hide details for agreed unnecessary fields. Save between tools and inspect the final downloaded file.

Common questions

Is 1 MB the Turks and Caicos work-permit limit?

No. It is the tool’s starting target for an agreed reference attachment. Use the employer’s or agent’s actual ceiling.

Can I compress away a police record’s signature?

Do not treat a re-rendered image as an unchanged signed record. Keep the original electronic file for any official verification or filing requirement.

What if Maximum size cannot be reached?

The tool shows its smallest result. Improve the source capture or ask about the recipient’s accepted transfer method. Inspect the actual downloaded file before sending.
